Get an eyeful of this then: marble top, hairpin legs mixed together with a pale pink wall and a parquet floor. Isn’t that delicious? Even without the pink the parquet these tables are pretty good aren’t they? See below for how good it looks on a slate floor in a bathroom.

They are made by the brand new company MOffee Ltd and everything is made in their workshop just outside London. These are their very first designs but Kate Aumonier and her partner Barney have plans for many more. Kate is an interior designer, who used to be a professional singer, and Barney is engineer who used to work in events.

The interior design and the engineering were their “real jobs” that paid the bills while they were singing and working in the west end respectively. Kate said: “As an interior designer I kept creating bespoke items for clients and Barney was working in the family business of water jet cutting. The curved edges of the marble has to be done by water jet and he also welds the table legs himself so we can create any bespoke sizes required.”

The company is so new that they haven’t finished setting up their e-commerce site yet but if you’re interested you can contact them through the website. Prices are £270 for the laptop table (above) and £580 for the coffee table below. The console table is £480. Next year they are planning to a number of marquetry designs to the range.

Marble is a timeless classic that is, nonetheless, having a bit of a fashion moment so while it might feel right to buy now, it’s something that will last for ever. And we’re all about sustainable, buy it now love it for ever pieces aren’t we… *wags finger*. Unless it’s cushion covers in which case we can be a bit more faddy and then recycle them.

What do you think of these? I definitely want one and then I want to find a wall and paint it pale pink.

  1. I love these marble tables with the simple, modernist legs. The legs make the tables slightly less formal and allow the marble shapes to be suspended nicely in space. Very cool.
