Kitchen Innovations from Magnet Part III

These posts come round fast don’t they? This is the third in my four part series showcasing kitchen innovations from Magnet. And I know I say this every month but this is a good one.

I’m pretty sure that most of our kitchens have a plinth that hides the legs of the cupboards and just finishes everything off neatly but it is, basically wasted space.

But what if you could use it for storage? And while I think of it, I have seen people who have created fitted wardrobes and used that space for shoes… yes that’s a good idea too isn’t it.

Anyway, back to the kitchen. This kick board conceals a drawer which conceals a small fold out plinth ladder. It’s such a good idea. For those of you with small children, this gives them somewhere to stand when you’ve got them doing the washing up. I mean helping you bake cakes during lovely quality time. You know the sort you get when you let a three-year-old loose in your kitchen to “help”.

For the rest of us it’s an easy way to be able to reach those annoying things on the top shelves that you don’t need very often but just often enough to be a) annoying and b) unable to throw them away altogether.

During the course of my day’s filming with Magnet I had a go with it and it’s a pretty easy one handed mechanism so you can grab it from the drawer, flip it open – and it clicks into place securely – and up you go to the top shelf. Easy.

It’s clever isn’t it. Come back next month for the fourth and final part in this series. I shan’t tell you what it is you’ll have to wait and see….
