Now I don’t know about you but come those cold winter evenings I find that salad definitely isn’t on the agenda. It’s all about hearty meals – thick stews and soups with crusty bread, glasses of warming red wine and well, if you’re opening the bottle then a little nibble to go with wouldn’t go amiss would it?

This set of six bowls in beautiful chalky shades are just what you need to chase the winter blues away. A few quails eggs (see above), some salted almonds, perhaps a pistachio for colour and a couple of slices of salami or chorizo and bang. I’m feeling better already.

    1. I’m pretty sure it can’t – that bit may have to be washed by hand. I take the point about storage though … will double check for you. Perhaps as it’s so pretty it can live out on the side.
