Browsing around the interweb the other day I came across this site called April and the Bear (great name I thought) and went in to investigate. Turns out it’s an Irish online retailer with a really good eye for interesting and unusual stuff.
Now I know you like a weekend wander round a new shop so here you are. And it’s perfect for anyone who might be thinking of buying presents at this time of year… no I can’t think why either.
I’m particularly keen on the chicken feet. I have no idea why. I am not a particular fan of the chicken and I’m probably slightly afraid of their clawy feet but there’s something about the way they’re standing which appeals. It’s a bit like Barry the Flamingo who moved in last week. He’s got good feet too.
Mind you Enid Cat was not impressed…

Thank you! I love DZD but had forgotten all about it. I see Barry has a friend available for purchase too … now the question is which one I like more. A tricky choice. Maybe I will just buy both and they can keep one another company.
