Objects of Design #124: Bee Sugar Pot

pewter bee sugar pot from Mia Fleur

I’ve been looking for a sugar pot for ages. Ideally I want one of those old fashioned ones you find in cafes where you tip it up and it dispenses a teaspoon of sugar. I have seen them once but in horrible coloured glass so that was no good at all.

perfect for a weekend breakfast

Mind you, as someone who doesn’t add sugar to coffee, I wouldn’t get that much use out of it, so I would probably use this for jam. There’s something wonderful about a Saturday morning breakfast with a pot of coffee, a hunk of baguette, some  cold, unsalted butter from the fridge and some raspberry jam on the side.

Of course you need the papers as well and the jam should come in a nice pot. And the milk in a jug. Making the time for a lazy breakfast is a little ritual I’ve really come to enjoy since my children were old enough to allow us a little lie-in at the weekend.
