Objects Of Design #198: Tree Shelf

Imaginative shelving

It’s amazing what you can do with some wood and a few wall stickers isn’t it. I’m a big fan of icelandic designer Thorunn Arnadottir  whose products are often witty as well as unusual.  Check out her site for The Devil’s Pet, a cute pink kitten candle until it burns  . . .

Anyway, this shelf (there’s also a cloud version) was inspired by the geometrical work of Mondrian, only he hated green which he thought was too obvious a connection to nature. So Arnadottir has turned his idea on its head with this tree shelf.
