Yesterday we looked at the colour in wallpaper by mini moderns and today I wanted to show you another variant on what you might loosely call interactive wallpaper.
This is by Swedish designer Lisa Bengtsson and I love it so much that I used it in number one son’s bedroom in my previous house. His room had a black cast iron fireplace and we papered the chimney breast.
We filled the frames with pictures of the family and his favourite drawings that he wanted to keep. Then, with some that was leftover, I hung a strip in his brother’s room with more photographs and pictures in. I did mean to frame it and make it into a proper keep-for-ever-thing but somehow I never got round to it and it got rather crumpled in the move.
If you fancy having a look at Lisa’s other designs then click the image above. This fabulous shoe wallpaper is just one of many great designs.
Otherwise you can buy The Family from Rockett St George or £120 a roll. One roll was plenty for the chimney breast by the way.
And, while I’m on the subject if you want to know the rules of hanging wallpaper click here.
