Objects of Design #100: Solid Oak Tray Table

I do love a bit of multi-purpose furniture and this prototype tray table from Bou Design is perfect. The top simply lifts off and can be used as a tray but underneath there is a second top which remains as the table top effectively doubling the useable space while halving the amount of space it takes up. Clever.

There are two prototype versions; this or a white one.

Or you can buy it in walnut or black ash.

The white is £130, the oak version is £280 and the others are £430 for the ash and £530 for the walnut.
