I love this chair. Made from powder-coated steel it’s basically a flat pack piece of furniture. You simply fold along the lines to assemble. The copper patina will age naturally so it will become more and more beautiful with time.

The copper would be my favourite, and, I appreciate that at £299, it’s a hefty investment, but you would totally only only need one of these at a table. The warm metallic tones will gone beautifully with natural wood, leather or plastic chairs.

It does come in other colours too mind you. This aqua version, which retails at £149 is also rather gorgeous. There’s black and white, as you might expect and they’re all available at Heals. Blu Dot is an American company which was set up in 1997 by John Christakos and Maurice Blanks.

“As friends in college we shared a passion for art, architecture and design. After school we began to furnish our first homes and found we didn’t like the stuff we could afford and we couldn’t afford the stuff we liked.” A sentiment which will resonate with many of us.

The chairs are definitely my favourite piece but there’s masses more for every room in the house. I also rather like this so-called “cute lil bugger” of a side table.
