Continuing the quest for cool, contemporary kids furniture (I’m doing the looking so you don’t have to) today I bring you the Dutch company RaFA, run by husband and wife architects Agata and Arek.
This loft bed is designed to encourage play, there are two ladders so you can put it anywhere in the room or two children can climb up at once. There is space below for playing, hanging out, or even another bed.
When my boys shared a room, one was in a loft bed and, for a while, to make the most of the space, the younger one slept in a toddler bed underneath. I only wish it had been as stylish as this.
Or you can choose this version, which is two full-sized beds that can be put together like bunks if the room is shared and/or split up later on.
In addition to furniture, RaFa (which is named after their initials (Franek and Robert are the children) also stocks bedding.
They do have some bright colours too but, you know me, I do love a bit of monochrome and particularly the islands set below.
