Objects Of Design #250: Esther Patterson Handblown Lamps

see your kitchen through rose-tinted lights

Esther Patterson runs her studio Curiousa & Curiousa from the Midlands where she works with local craftsmen and glass blowers to create her range of beautiful glass lights. No moulds are used so there is no restriction on size, colour or shape.

She launched her range in Design Week at Tent London in 2010 and now sells through stores including Liberty while her designs have been used in both Harvey Nicks Fifth Floor Cafe and Jamie Oliver’s restaurants.

I love the soft pink glow from these ceiling pendants which make such a pretty focal point over the island. Look carefully and you can see there are spotlights for practicality but there is room for both styles.
