There is going to come a point where I have to stop looking at sofas. I am going to have to make a decision and buy it and then never look another sofa in the eye again. Every time I think I have seen the perfect one, along comes another to tempt me.

This beauty is by a Norwegian designer called Andreas Engesvik and was launched at the recent Stockholm Design Festival. It’s so new I’m not even sure it’s for sale yet but, in case (like me) you’re tempted it’s called Tiki and it was made by Fogia.

It manages to look both comfortable and structured and, because it’s slim, it looks elegant too.

In addition to this sofa, Engesvik has created several other interesting and innovative products like the ones in these images. The Pin table for Menu which you can take round the garden and just plant wherever you need it. Or the Duo sofa with arms that fold up or down depending on the level of privacy you require for your meeting.

Engesvik has won masses of awards for his work, most recently the Norwegian Elle Decoration prize for Furniture of the Year for his Sol stool (pictured above). Remember that name, you’ll be seeing it more in the future.
