I first noticed this store when it started popping up on my instagram feed and when I got round to investigating I liked it very much and thought you might too. I have already made recommendations to a couple of clients so here goes for the rest of you.

Perch & Barrow belongs to Astrid Limal, who grew up in Paris so she’s bringing all that innate Gallic flair to things (*gnashes teeth) and she has worked in both fashion and advertising. Her client list includes both Dulux and English Heritage, Waterstones and Office.

“We want to inspire,” she says. “To feel confident about your home … with timeless pieces of furniture to make your space unique.”

There’s masses to see on the site and you can choose from over 100 different fabrics for the furniture including mouse’s tears, lazy mole and vole’s ear. Mind you we can probably be confident that unless David Attenborough is a former client, none of us actually know what colour a vole’s ear is. And is a lazy mole a different colour from an active one? Now that’s a thought. Imagine if we changed colour according to how productive we were.

Moving swiftly on from that nightmare. This post includes some of the pieces I like but have a wander round and see what you think. I feel a shop coming on…
