Objects of Design #348: French Connection Spring 2014

Well it may not feel like spring but the shops seem to think it is and who are we to argue? There may still be a decidedly wintry chill in the air, but what the new collections have landed and what that does mean is new stuff to look at, admire and wish for. And, possibly even BUY. Cue wild cheering.

I’m a big fan of French Connection’s homeware range which, this season, they have called soft industrial and based around the idea of loft-living with influences from the Parisian bistro. Think brass lights, wooden bar stools, zinc tables and natural textiles punctuated with splashes of soft navy and grey.

With prices starting at £45 for a cushion, you can add a few touches to your existing scheme and bring a little loft-living home.

I particularly love this leather slingback chair which costs £350 and will just get better with age.

  1. Haha, I was just going to comment that I went to the preview of their spring collection when I saw that you clearly already knew that. I loved the things they had, especially the blue and white cushions and those fab lamps. Thanks for including my images 🙂
