Objects of Design #34: Shoe Rack

There’s nothing worse than a beautifully decorated hall that is ruined by a jumble of shoes and trainers. This not only solves that problem but, because it is designed to sit above the skirting board, gives the impression that there is more space than there actually is because you can see all the floor around it. That’s a good trick that’s worth knowing about for other small rooms too, by the way. A floating basin and loo will make a tiny bathroom seem more spacious as the eye is drawn to the size of the floor space.
