Mad About . . . Leap Year Calendars

It seems only appropriate that on this extra day of the year, we take a look at some of the best calendars around. Here are five  – do send your suggestions for others – we should really try and do 29 of them.

THOMAS STANLEY DESIGN

www.bouf.com

£4.95

Massively reduced as it’s not really the time of year to be buying calendars but this one was just perfect for this post so it had to be included. And anyway it’s cool.

TIMOR PERPETUAL CALENDAR

www.panik-design.com

£99

Designed in 1967 by Enzo Mari, this classic calendar uses flip cards which are stored in the base. It comes in either black or white.

RING CALENDAR

www.buysebastianbergne.com

£42

Hang this rather lovely calendar on the wall and simply turn the rings to line up the day, date and month

THIS MONTH CALENDAR WALL STICKER

www.rockettstgeorge.co.uk

£74.95

A perpetual calendar made from wall stickers. Comes with a stencil so you don’t have to worry about lining them all up properly. It comes with its own Post-it notes for you to stick on. All you need is a box of chalk.

AND FINALLY . . .

This one isn’t for sale yet but it was so lovely, I wanted to include it. It was made by Qaa’im Goodwin (www.qaaimgoodwin.com). Apparently it started off as a class project where he was inspired by sundials and how they work. He ended up giving it away as a present but is hoping to put it into production soon. Here’s another picture of how it works:
