Pulley Light

The trend for industrial lighting shows no sign of diminishing and this is a rather splendid example of the genre. The gold fitting and cable bring a more sophisticated feel to this light and the pulley is a practical addition.

The light is fully customisable so you can choose the colour of the cable, whether you want it twisted or not (you do) and whether you want it with a ceiling rose or a plug attached. The only thing that isn’t given in an option is the type of bulb and I am currently a fan of the globe with a spiral pattern. As it’s larger and rounder it will have a bit more presence if it’s the only central light in room.

The light, which is made by Unique’s on the Noths website costs £105 and they welcome requests so I’m sure would be happy to change this for you. It’s mainly about the bulb holder which is solid and looks expensive. After that it’s up to you how you play. I’m definitely going with the gold cable. Or maybe elephant grey…
