365 Objects Of Design #8: Stelton Coffee Press

Part of the Kitchen Essentials Series

A cup of coffee is absolutely essential in my kitchen and this is the best way to drink it. The Danish Stelton coffee press was first made in 1977 and is still popular today. Its double walls keep the coffee hot for ages and there’s an open and close function on the top too which also helps. But one of the main reasons I like it, apart from the fact that it looks gorgeous, is that because it’s plastic it doesn’t break. I have slightly lost count of the number of glass cafetieres that have been broken in my house over the years (not taking all the blame there) so this one makes me happy. Comes in all sorts of other colours too, by the way.
