AUGUST POSTCARDS: Tips for Small Space Living

And so to August when I take a small break and you get to look back at some of the best posts from the year which you might have missed in the hurly burly of life. Today we are going to start with some tips for small space living. My sons are currently having to adapt to small space living as they look for student flats. Even if you have a large house you probably have a couple of small rooms and, of course, many are dealing with the reality of living in rooms that need to multi-task so hopefully there is something for everyone in this post.

Now that many of us live in smaller homes while house prices are still, generally speaking, going up, space has become a luxury that many can’t afford. Today I thought I would share an (edited) extract from my new book, a third of which is dedicated to The Small Home. Although it’s also worth pointing out that even large houses can have small rooms. And that if you don’t live in a small home now you might in the future.
