AUGUST POSTCARDS: We Bought A House in Italy

As you read this we should just have returned from a site visit to the house where (hopefully) the rewiring and plumbing have been done and the builders are getting ready to put everything back again. This means that over the next few weeks and months the pictures should go from being mostly rubble to something altogether more decorative. I have put together a paint collection, chosen co-ordinating tiles, picked out wallpapers and planned each room with respect to what or who was there before. I’m excited to start showing you as it comes together. But, in the meantime, for those who haven’t caught up this is the story so far… see below for the plans

And these are the plans so far … and if you read that you will see the original kitchen. Which now looks like this… complete with the reclaimed stone sink we found.
