Five Finds 5/6/13

This weeks’ Five Finds kicks off with some rather fabulous big cushions which are perfect for taking outside as extra seating or can be stacked up in a corner for when they are needed indoors.

Made by Francesca, who realised that as the mother of four sons she never had enough chairs, the cushions are tough enough to be used outside (although they’re not weatherproof so be careful) and can double up as tables or seating if you buy one of these handy perspex discs to sit on top.

There’s a huge range of fabrics to choose from including vintage, contemporary and faux fur and, if none of that floats your boat you can provide your own material and have something made to match your existing decor or style.

Next up some plates by Polish designer Boguslaw Sliwiński, these make a mockery of the old adage: “Don’t play with your food.” But who could resist?

And I just love these hair ones.

Now I don’t know about you but there’s nothing like a new set of towels to make the bathroom experience a whole lot more spa-like and we’re all in favour of that.

BhS say their ultimate towel range has more absorbency, faster drying time and longer lasting colour. And, it has to be said, with the most expensive one coming in at £22 you can probably afford to test them out.

Sticking with the soft furnishings, Leeds-based designer Anthony Hughes has just launched his first interiors collection which includes includes digitally printed wallpapers, luxury cotton cushions and drum lampshades lighting.

That cushion is just beautiful isn’t it? It costs £60. But what about his wallpaper?

It costs £120 and is made to order so do allow time for that.

Finally beds. The designs from Milan are beginning to filter through into the shops and Italian company Bonaldo always has a few treats in store. I love this bed with the giant stitching running round the headboard.

You can choose to match or contrast the stitching from one of six colours including grey (light or dark) red, blue or white. The bed costs from £2,260 and is available from Go Modern

  1. I love the plates by Boguslaw Sliwiński – I have to get them – veggies might have a chance to be considered to be eaten when they are displayed in such a fun way!!!!
