Something slightly different today which I meant to tell you about last week but in all the excitement for my book publication (link here if you want to know more about that) it fell off the edge.

I know that many of you listen to the podcast The Great Indoors and I wanted to tell you that we have just launched a subscription model which I wanted to tell you all about today.

As regular listeners and readers will know, Sophie Robinson and I launched the podcast in October 2018 and it was one of the first interiors podcasts. Mostly since, I think many people thought it would be impossible to make a meaningful and useful show about such a visual subject in audio form.

Well, nearly three million downloads later, we feel we have proved the naysayers wrong and now we want to make the podcast even bigger and better with more content and episodes and live events where we can meet you and, if the size of our Facebook group is anything to go by – nearly 10,500 members –  you can meet each other and chat about all things interiors to your hearts’ content.

We have already taken the show from fortnightly to weekly and now we have launched a subscribers’ version – The Great Indoors Insiders. This means that not only can you listen without adverts but also means you will have exclusive access to bonus content. This might mean that your style surgery questions are given priority for answers or a chance to hear an interview with a specialist in their field – a kitchen designer or a lighting expert for example. Or it might come in the form of a newsletter where we open up our little black books of design and share details of where to buy with our podcast insiders. And the first one of those is out tomorrow with details on all things vintage to go with episode 110 that is out in the morning.

Not only that but when we hold live events our Insiders will be given first dibs on tickets. And there is already some very exciting news coming up for Insiders on that tomorrow (4 May) so if you aren’t already subscribed and you fancy a holiday then make sure you are subscribed to find out more about that. Not only that but our first newsletter on all things vintage goes

We are also planning some UK events for later in the year – more on that when we have it as they say.

So if you want to support the podcast as we enter our fifth year and help us to help you find out what really works for you in your homes then the link is here.

  1. With such generosity in the quality and quantity of what you share I was more than happy to sign up. Keep up the amazing work!

  2. I have always been very aware of how much you have provided for us for free Kate, including the excellent blogs and the podcast, so I was more than happy to sign up. You were the first podcast I started listening to and still the best! Enjoyed the longer style surgery last week and looking forward to more Insiders extras in future – all for the equivalent cost of a very small supermarket shop. Thank you!
