Round Mirrored Tray

It’s only the second of the month and already I have bought one thing (yesterday’s lightbox) and am about to buy another – this tray. I love trays. I have no idea why. Perhaps it’s the ceremonial aspect of them. Bringing in a tray with two mugs or glasses on it (along with a plate of bisuits or a bowl of nuts) is so much more exciting that carrying it in by hand.

So at this time of year, where there may conceivably be more drinks and canapes to ferry about, a tray makes perfect sense. I saw a brass tray with leather handles on Pinterest some months ago and searched in vain for something similar. I couldn’t find one anywhere and was eventually distracted by something else and forgot all about it.

Then I found this one and I like the contrast of the rustic rope handles with the brass and mirror detailing. And it’s thirty quid. At this rate I’ll have bought all my own Christmas presents and can just show people what they will be paying for.

This will also look good on the coffee table all year round as place to keep glasses or plants or, let’s be honest, random pens, pokemon and the remote controls for the telly. Heck, I’ve talked myself into it now…*adds to cart*

  1. have to say i spent a good while in the H & M in london this weekend and made some very lovely purchases. that place is bang on at the moment – love it!

  2. I am sad, because here in the wilderness (Canada) H&M only sells clothes, & their home goods look fabulous.
